Transaction Fraud Monitoring

  • Woodforest monitors debit card transactions 24 hours a day.  If a transaction is identified outside of the normal spending patterns of your account, we may take appropriate action to ensure your money is safe including blocking your card and contacting you to confirm the validity of the transaction.

Debit Card Fraud Alerts

  • Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Alerts are designed to notify you when unusual activity is detected on your Woodforest Debit Card. Woodforest Debit Card Fraud Alerts may include an SMS text message to your mobile device, or an email to the primary address we have on file. We will ask you to respond to the alert letting us know if you authorized the transaction in question.

Zero Liability

  • Woodforest offers zero liability on unauthorized transactions performed with your Woodforest Debit Card that are reported in a timely manner (see account disclosures for detailed information).

You may also turn your debit card off or on using the Woodforest Mobile app.(1) Go to Mobile Banking Debit Card Management to learn more about our Mobile App features.

1. The Debit Card Management service allows you to turn your debit card on and off temporarily. If your card is lost or stolen, you must still contact us at 1-877-968-7962 to notify us so we can close the card. While turning off the card may reduce unauthorized activity, this setting does NOT close the card in the event it is lost or stolen.
